The Lebanese recipe of Mouhalabieh is a delightful dessert for sweet lovers. This delicious flan is prepared with milk, thickened with corn flour or rice flour then flavored with both orange blossom and rose water. It is decorated with pistachios and can be topped with syrup if you desire.

Ingredients

3 cups of milk
4 tbsp. cornstarch
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. orange blossom water
1 tbsp. rose water
½ cup unsalted pistachios, grinded

Instructions
Mix the milk with cornstarch and sugar in a pot. Put the mixture over medium fire and mix continuously with a whisk till it starts boiling. Then add orange blossom water and rose water while mixing, till it thickens. Pour the mouhalabiyeh into six small bowls and put in the fridge till it gets stiff.

Decorate the top of the bowls with pistachios.

Serve cold.
